Micro Silica
414 Solution offers a wide range of Densified and Unidentified micro silica derived from bye products while making ferrosilicon production process. Micro silica is a highly amorphous silica in nature with a very large surface area.
In Oilfield Cementing applications Micro Silica is mainly used as densification, pozzolan, and reactivity product to attain high & early strength of cementing.
In Oil well cementing industry Strength retrogression in concrete is important. It means during the hydration products formed when cement is exposed to high temperatures (>110°C / 230°F).
Due to this, there is a decline of cement strength at elevated temperatures & therefore decreased in strength & pore diameter is observed. The strength retrogression is achieved by reacting Silica with Calcium Hydroxide to turn it into a Calcium Silicate bond this reduces permeability and zonal isolation in the concrete pore.

Dosage
Depending upon the concrete mix design but
usually replaced to the Cement by wt. from 1% to
5% depending on several factors.
