Anti-stripping agent

In past years there have beenlot of technological changes have been made in the performances of bituminous mixtures and selection of more chemical and polymeric materials. The asphalting performances is always depending upon quality and usage of polymers, both for Bitumen, Modified Bitumen – both for mixtures - PMA, Polymer Modified Asphalt.

In the formulation process of asphalting the other important raw materials are aggregates and sand. So effectively its mixture of organic and inorganics. Thus the importance of bonding between both organic and inorganic is must. The bitumen-aggregate adhesion is independent from any polymer modification performed. The adhesion between the bitumen binder and the stone elements prevents water penetration within pores of aggregate and loosen bond of bitumen and sand causing premature aging of the asphalting.
Therefore to improve adhesion & coupling between aggregates and bitumen can be ensured through the usage of anti-stripping agents. The good adhesion of bituminous & aggregate surface is important for durable pavement. Depletion of the bituminous from hydrophilic stone/aggregate make surface in presence of water is called stripping. Due to stripping failures such as rutting, corrugation, shoving, ravelling and cracking occures. The adhesion of bituminous binders involves physical properties of different origin. The adhesion is influenced by the characteristics of the bitumen (hydrophobic) and the aggregate used in the mixture (hydrophilic). 414 Solution have team of expertise and product being manufactured in India with highly professional team and start of art manufacturing facilities. There has been a lot of research and published case histories regarding stripping and the use of anti-stripping agents.
